KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission of candidates to various Engineering, B. Pharm and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State.
Candidates who have passed or appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC/12th standard are eligible to appear for KCET. The exam will be held on two days in four different sessions for four subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions of KCET are based on I and II PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education. Based on the marks obtained in the KCET and qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared as per the category-wise vacancies.
