KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission of candidates to various Engineering, B. Pharm and Farm Science courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State.
Candidates who have passed or appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC/12th standard are eligible to appear for KCET. The exam will be held on two days in four different sessions for four subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The questions of KCET are based on I and II PUC syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education. Based on the marks obtained in the KCET and qualifying examination, the merit list will be prepared as per the category-wise vacancies.
JEE Main
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission to various engineering colleges and courses all over the country. The new pattern of JEE aims to create an umbrella through single combined entrance Exam for the admission to over 2500 Engineering Colleges (Private & Govt) in the country. NTA decided to conduct a Joint Entrance Examination from the year 2013 for admission to the Undergraduate programs in Engineering in Two Phases, i.e JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced). JEE Main is meant for students who are looking for admission in Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Central Funded Technical Institute (CFTI). The first 2,20,000 candidates (from all categories) based on their performance in JEE(Main) will qualify to appear in JEE (Advanced) exam.
NEET
NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test -UG) is an All-India entrance exam conducted by NTA for admissions to MBBS/BDS Courses in India offered by Medical/Dental Colleges approved by the Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament. NEET exam consist of 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) and the duration of the exam is 3 hours. For each correct answer, students will get 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for any question answered incorrectly. No marks will be deducted if a student does not attend any question.
